I am currently president and founder of Aristoff Consulting LLC, a provider of medicinal chemistry consulting services to industry and academia.  As a medicinal chemist with over 30 years of experience in drug discovery and development in the pharmaceutical industry,  I began my career at The Upjohn Company and later moved into management as the head of chemistry in the cancer and viral diseases department at Upjohn.  I subsequently became overall head of medicinal chemistry at Upjohn.  With the merger of Upjohn and Pharmacia, I became director of chemistry in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and later, following the takeover of Pharmacia by Pfizer, head of Pfizer’s antibacterial chemistry group in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  I am inventor or co-inventor of four drugs that have reached the marketplace, and I have led chemistry departments that have discovered three drugs that are on the market.
